Collaborating for an internally empowered world
Below is a list ofThe Hope Movement's (THM) collaboration partners.
Collectively, these projects seek to provide a complete map of inner healing and development, scaling access to these skills, and illuminating the intersection between internal transformation and the evolution of our social, political and environmental systems.
What are the core skills for psychological healing, and how can we scale access to them safely and ethically?
UST is a new integrative modality designed for individuals to practice on themselves and in their relationships. It weaves together parts work, embodiment, nervous system regulation, mindfulness and other approaches in a simple and powerful yet approach.
THM has supported Unconditional Self-Therapy (UST) to design its thesis, progress its research agenda, and design and deliver its courses. We see our two organisations as "siblings" - THM with its focus on inner skills for transformation and basic healing, and UST with a focus on deep healing.

How can we effectively and comprehensively heal insecure attachment?
Over 40% of the adult population have attachment disturbances and these lead to individual suffering and ripple out into societal challenges.
Integrative Attachment Therapy (IAT) is a cutting-edge, comprehensive approach to attachment repair, developed Dr David Elliott, Nigel Denning and Dr Tra-ill Dowie, building on the work of Dr Daniel P. Brown.
The Hope Movement has supported IAT to build a psychoeducation course for the general population.

What are the core psychological and political skills required for us to be better citizens and create a healthier politics?

Research suggests that our collective psychological states impact our social, political and environmental systems.
Now, as our world faces a meta-crisis in the form of war, existential technological risks and climate change, it has never been so important for us to collectively transform and uplift our internal worlds.
THM is partnering with human rights and global governance expert and author of over 26 books, Scott Leckie, and counselling psychologist and co-founder of both Integrative Psychology and Medicine and Integrative Attachment Therapy, Nigel Denning, to explore these topics.
Specifically, THM is co-hosting a series on the Democracy Tomorrow podcast unpacking the core psychological and political skills that can support us to become better world citizens and create better political systems. Click here to learn more.
The Hope Movement is also co-hosting an eleven week online course on the same topic, called Democracy Mind. Click here to learn more.

How can we bring integration to the theory and practice of psychotherapy?

Although the field of psychotherapy is over 100 years old, it is still an immature science. We have created over 500 competing therapeutic modalities, each with its own philosophy, vocabulary and practices - yet generally speaking, these modalities are more or less equally effective for many conditions.
THM is partnering with IP&M on its integrative theory of mind and therapy, which seeks to advance the discipline of psychotherapy, by unifying numerous modalities into a single, comprehensive approach.
This work has involved co-authoring journal articles, co-designing training programs for clinicians and psychoeducation courses for the general population.
