Even as the world seems in chaos,
a new frontier of human evolution is emerging.

We’ve mastered the external world.

But we’ve neglected the inner world.

And that neglect is now rippling out from our minds and destroying our planet.

The inner world has patterns which can be mastered with the right skills.

Practice these skills and your mind and life will transform.

If enough of us practice these skills then our entire world will transform.

What We Do

We envisage a future in which inner skills are as common as reading and writing, leading to prosperity, peace, regeneration and collective sanity.

Our mission is to inspire and empower people to develop these skills through coaching, courses, and educational resources.

Our Unique Contribution

People who want to grow face an obstacle.

There are thousands of practices for working on the inner world -- which should they choose?

That’s why we created The Hope Map, your GPS for human development, adapted from integral theory.

It will help you choose the most powerful practices to achieve your goals.

The next stage of humanity's evolution starts with you.

With me.

With all of us.

Meet the Founder

The Hope Movement was started by Jordan Bakker in 2026.

For over 15 years, Jordan has worked to bring about positive change in himself and in the world.

His work to bring about change in the external world has included time as a human rights and environmental advocate with Displacement Solutions, a school teacher and a school transformation change agent with the Centre for Multicultural Youth, as well as a collaborator on innovative mental health and wellbeing initiatives with Integrative Psychology and Medicine and the Integrative Attachment Therapy Institute. Jordan co-founded Integral Melbourne, a community based on Integral Theory, which ran over 100 community and meditation events.

His work to bring about change in his internal world has consisted of meditation, self-inquiry, therapy and many other transformative practices.
Jordan was mentored by the spiritual teacher, author and philosopher, Terry Patten, in the integral tradition, helping him set up the organisation A New Republic of the Heart. Jordan studied meditation with Harvard Professor, Dr Daniel P Brown and Geshe Sonam in the Tibetan Karma Kagyu and Bon traditions. He has completed meditation retreats with these two teachers, as well as with a number of other teachers (Zhula Rinpoche, Lama David Christensen, Lama Surya Das, Vipassana in the S. N. Goenka tradition, Qi Gong with Master Liu), totaling over 100 days on retreat.

Jordan is a certified Heroic life coach. He has a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours in Psychology), a Master of Applied Teaching Practice (Secondary), and is currently completing Master of Clinical Psychology.* He is co-editor of The Climate Change and Displacement Reader (2012).
